The list has been assembled by analysing the quality of each tool, the value, the design, the features, the weight and the blade construction.
Whilst testing many multi-tools it became very apparent that Leatherman knives are undeniably the best multi-tools out there. Their 25-year no questions asked warranty speaks for itself and they are the market leaders in the multi-tool sector with over 30 years experience. However there are other options such as Swiss Army Knives, and Gerber which are major competitors and favoured by some and certainly more suitable in certain situations. Let us know in the comments below what knives you use!

Overall: The pliers are perfect for small tasks. The knife is not a lock blade, but still great for opening boxes and letters. The scissors are handy for cutting open cable ties etc. The screwdrivers work better than you’d expect. The bottle opener and file is probably the worst components on the knife.
7. Leatherman Wingman

2. Leatherman Charge TTi
The Charge TTi features a cutting hook, scissors, outside-accessible blades, bit drivers, crimpers, comfort-sculpted titanium handles and the S30V stainless steel clip-point knife and more. The TTi does have a “chunkiness” about it and the back of the knife blade in particular sticks out a fair way from the back of the tool. Though don’t let that put you off…with this tool you pretty much get it all. The Charge TTI’s design also features tools that are accessible while the tool is in both, its folded or closed position, mimicking the functionality of a pocket knife.
